YOU ARE A SACRIFICE!

12 Thought Provoking minutes. Worth the time. You ARE a sacrifice!

COMMANDMENTS? AREN'T THERE ONLY 2?

It is very important to know that when Jesus/Yeshua was speaking of two commandments (Matthew 22:37-40), he was speaking of all 10, plus Leviticus 19 and Deuteronomy 5. It has been said that the first five commandments refer to the Father and the second five refer to other people, how we should behave toward Him and them. This is also to be considered.

Most people who understand at least a small amount of the salvation message, and some who are simply obeying without full understanding, are already doing many of the commandments.

As Jesus/Yeshua says, they are not burdensome.  His yoke is light. (Matthew 11:30) Man and his traditions, both in Judaism and the other religions, including "Christianity," have placed such a burden on doing or not doing the Creator's commandments that confusion abounds.  That is NOT the Father's will.

A short reading of 1John, especially chapter 2, will be helpful.  And, when reading about the life and example that Jesus/Yeshua set before us, listen intently to what he says and what he did and try to block out any "traditions" you may have been taught by man or woman.

Remember, Yeshua/Jesus spent a large portion of His ministry telling the "thorn in the flesh" Temple leaders of the day that they were liars, snakes, deceivers, of their "father the devil" and so on, because they were not teaching Truth, but deception, a twisting of the Truth, which was controlling the people and keeping them in bondage.

The video below from Sean and Lindsey Griffin, Kingdom in Context, will definitely help with the understanding of this issue.

RENEWED vs. NEW COVENANT

This video is thorough and filled with many cross references to help any Scripture student understand some of the "confusing" sections of Scripture. Sean and Lindsey truly keep it in context.
